The Tutto dream continues.....
Gianpaolo de Felice and David Mayer, the friends behind the successful Tutto il Giorno restaurants in Sag Harbor and Southampton, had yet another inspiration: to open a modern Italian-style café and bar where friends and family could meet for a casual breakfast, maybe a business meet up or share a pre or post movie drink and light bite.
Introducing Tutto Caffe, an East Hampton a stylish and welcoming indoor/outdoor coffee spot in the Tutto tradition where guests can enjoy delicious organic coffee, cappuccino and espressos as well as wine and cocktails. Authentic Italian pastries and paninis, along with other delectable savories are offered throughout the day.
The idea was born in 2019 after Gianpaolo and David’s families bought Buena Vida, a coffee company in Costa Rica, where the beans are harvested by local farmers. The two spent over a year learning the art of fine coffee, and further developed their 100% organic coffee to give it a Neapolitan accent, as inspired by Gianpaolo’s Southern Italian roots.
As with the original Tutto, which opened in 2008, the project became a family affair: Gally Mayer, David’s wife, oversaw its charitable purpose – benefitting underprivileged Costa Rican youths through “Soccer for My Country.” Gabby Karan de Felice, Gianpaolo’s wife, added her chic design aesthetic, using only Italian-sourced elements, working with Bonetti/Kozerski, an architecture firm she and her mother, the fashion icon Donna Karan, have worked with for years.
Tutto Caffe’s signature coffee is the culmination of the two men’s passion for the perfect balance of rich authentic coffee beans with an Italian accent served in a sophisticated, yet inviting atmosphere. This friendly, intimate experience is the signature of the Tutto family of eateries – a stylish place that feels as welcoming as home.
